Get a fine finish on rough stock with the JET® JWP-208HH, 20-Inch Planer 5HP 1Ph, Helical Head. The planer operates with a powerful 5 hp motor that turns the cutter blade at up to 5000 rpm. The Jet helical head planer accepts boards up to a maximum thickness of 8 inches and a width of 20 inches, so it’s equipped to handle large stock. The helical cutting blade, with staggered waves of 92 carbide knives on a cylindrical head, provides an ultra-smooth finish with minimal operating noise. A 2-speed gearbox lets you feed boards into the Jet 20-inch planer at either 24 or 31 fpm, and steel infeed and outfeed rollers maintain the position of the cutterhead against the board, eliminating snipe. An all cast-iron, precision-ground feed table enhances the accuracy of planer depth and provides a stable work surface. The Jet planer includes a canted dust collection port to keep the collection hose angled away from the work area.
